Doc #.....???

Well Saturday we went to the founder of the Pediatric dept we go to. He took one look at the MRI and said, "She needs to see an orthopedic surgeon." He wrote out the referral needed and said to get her there Monday.

Which was today. :) We just got back from there. That Ortho was a woman and after doing yet another x-ray, reading her MRI stuff came in and said she wanted to put her in a boot. She also basically said she wondered if the ligament damage was done at the original injury in Feb or if it was because earlier doctor had been a dimwit (my words not hers!!) and not immobilized her foot like should have been done. (I'm not quoting her verbatim cause she used medical terms and was very professional!! LOL) It was said that she'd rather do the boot or cast first for a four week period to see if the ligaments would heal on their own (which she feels very positive they will because the foot will be unable to move and therefore prevent more injury). If after 4 weeks the boot hasn't taken care of it all...then we will discuss our next option. Next thing she said was that insurance wouldn't allow them to do the boot so we had to find a place.

So....the call to insurance was made and they gave us a number for a place 4 hours away!! LOL!! Troll was like...um....that's on the other side of the state!! She said, I'm sorry that's who you have to go through! Arrrgggh! So Troll calls them and they give him another number. So Troll calls them!! Lol! Jet has an appointment for 9 in the morning to get booted! :) Now we pray for a booted miracle :)
