The foot

Just got back from J's Ortho appointment. This is the situation as of now.

Dr. still feels its the muscles freezing to protect the joint after she hurt it. So he gave her a shot with a HUGE needle that went down to the ankle joint. It contained steriod and novacaine to get the muscles to relax.  I asked what the next step was if this shot didn't work. He said that they'd then go up by her knee and do nerve blocks which could be a problem due to there not being an anisthesiologist in the area that does nerve blocks on kids so we'd have to go with one that works on adults (not exactly sure why this is a problem as J is the size of an adult!!).

I told him that J's peds doc wanted an MRI done and he said it'd be ok to have one done even though he didn't feel it was necessary. I said I wanted it done so he wrote the RX for it. I will be scheduling that asap. He said it would show if there was some fibrous something issue inside there that possibly wouldn't have shown up on the CT. (Doc's can be so frustrating!!) So that's the scoop. I'm getting very close to making this scoop fly out the window though!! Lol!!! Its been too long of a drawn out process. And the shot has made her foot start hurting and will be pretty painful by this evening. I also said, so if this shot thing works to make her muscles release will her foot and leg straighten out so she's walking properly? He says, It should....maybe not. Grrrr!!! Gotta love docs!! They hold your well being in their hands :(
