Well I'm middle aged :) I've got a teen on my hands!! So very thankful for this kid. He is such a blessing. Loves God. Loves his family. Loves to have fun! He's one of my bestest buds. In church he sits right beside me and keeps his arm around me. He knows immediately when I'm having a rough day...sometimes even before Troll figures it out. He's smart, loves a challenge and does so very well in school. I'm SO very proud of him and also so very thankful that God saw fit to entrust him to us!
He asked for a Reds/baseball cake. This was the best I could come up with having no plan before hand.
Went to the flower shop a couple doors down and asked for funky balloons :) Added a bit of pizazz to the whole ordeal!
The cake!! The baseballs were ball cakes covered in white chocolate and "glued" to the side of a square cake. Unfortunately I didn't count the candles before coming home from the store in a mad rush to get the cake decorated and only had 12. But he gave me a couple bear hugs and kisses and said, "Mom...its ok! Thank-you for a great cake and meal!" Our kids are allowed to pick what they want for a meal and he picked the following... Liver/onions, Scalloped potatoes, Green beans with bacon/onions and coleslaw. Lol!!! I'm one proud mom of one awesome young man!! Happy Bday, Beeg!!

Oh, my. I can't believe he's that old! I remember when he drooled a lot and needed a pacifier! Hokey Nellie, I'm getting old, too, I guess.
Liver and Onions??? What kid in their right mind wants liver and onions?? *L*
