Thoughts

First off....its another Wacky Day at school so the above pic is of my beautiful family in their getup this a.m. :) This pic does no justice to Jetta's hair but let me tell ya...if there were prizes being awarded....she would get one :)

Secondly...my mind has been very thoughtful this day. More so after talking to a dear friend and how stressed their family is and reading numerous comments on facebook of late by aquaintences/friends...so many people are hurting. The misunderstandings, the tragedies, the hurts, etc. Through all this whirring through my mind this a.m. the song my parents used to sing years ago has been on my mind so I thought I'd just post it. Don't know if it will help anyone out there that still follows blog world or not...but it is so true.

God is working out His purpose, He has planned for you and me;
Though to us it may be hidden, some day we shall plainly see.
How He stands behind the shadows, waiting to perform His will,
Whisp'ring, "Child, be of good courage; every promise I'll fulfill."

God is working out His purpose, even though we go alone.
It may take us from our loved ones, lead us far away from home.
It will be the greatest pleasure, just to feel His Presence near,
And to know that God is working out the purpose to Him dear.

God is working out His purpose, though it lead thru desert bare.
He'll go with us on Life's journey, and our heavy burdens bear.
Thru' the weary years of waiting, when the heart cries, "Lord, how long",
God is working out His purpose, right shall triumph over wrong.

God is working out His purpose, never murmur nor repine;
For our future's in His keeping, gladly to His will resign.
When the veil at last is lifted, and the shadows flee away.
We shall understand His purpose, thru one glad eternal day.

This has been an encouragment to me over the years and I couldn't help but think that maybe someone out there today could use this old song to brighten their day :)
