Just plain awesome!!!

SO....
Today we took the kids to a Harrisburg Senators baseball game. We arrived, got our tickets and went to our seats. Weren't there 15 minutes when a worker at the stadium came up and asked if we were a family. Troll told him that we were. He then asked if we wanted to participate in the Lance Family of the Game thing. So we agreed. It included a box of snacks, being put into a Grand Prize drawing and.........................................................wait for it.............................................
someone from our kids throwing the ceremonial first pitch!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone said they didn't want to do it. I wasn't having anything with that so I proclaimed, huh-uh....either Reagan or Austin is going to do this. A chance in a lifetime and both of them play ball so they were gonna do it and I meant it!!! Austin can't handle things in the lime light so Reagan squared his shoulders and agreed to head to the field in 15 minutes. It was so awesome!!! So totally cool! Big problem though...i'd left my camera in the truck. So, being the totally fit mother that I am (oh how I wish that sentence wasn't a lie), I hoofed it back to the truck and back in just under 15 minutes. Let me tell you that when I finally made it back and sat down my calves immediately went into these contractions. It was rough!!! BUT....I made it in time to see my little "Doody" walk out onto the big field and throw the first pitch in. He did a great job. I'll post pictures tomorrow. We had a great time. Senators ended up winning the game in the 9th inning with bases loaded, opposing team set up for a double play and they hit the batter!! So we won 1-0!! What a way to win a game. We left the ball park having #1. seen Reagan throw the first pitch and got to keep the ball, #2. one of the teams mascots gave Reagan his ball, #3. Austin catching a ball, #4. Jetta getting a shirt from a worker, #5. snagging two mascot plush figures, #6. the lady in the row behind us sitting all by herself giving us money to buy all of us hotdogs, #7. a free hat, #8. a box of snacks, #9. being entered into a grand prize drawing, #10. and basically having one super time!!!! I couldn't believe it. And to think we had planned to go tomorrow. Austin's game got canceled Wednesday and moved to Friday so we changed going out to today!!! How neat is that. So anyway, that was our afternoon. Then we took the kids to Fire Mountain grill and ate Lupper!! (our cross between lunch and supper) Then we went back to Harrisburg to the Whitaker Center/Imax!! Loads of fun. So glad we had the oppurtunity to treat the kids to this stuff. Pictures of the game adventures will follow.
