I just had to share this little story with ya...
I was in the midst of making rolls for Sunday and pretzels for the kids for snack when I realized I didn't have enough flour. Troll is at a youth rally tonight so I couldn't drive for flour. It was pouring down rain and dark out so I didn't want to walk to the store. I was trying to figure out what I could possibly do. I prayed and told the Lord I needed flour. Then I felt prompted to run upstairs and tell the kids to pray that I'd get some flour cause I couldn't leave the partially mixed up batters just sitting and them go to waste. I went back downstairs and walked into the kitchen. I immed. felt like I should go in the pantry. There on the shelf was the cup and 1/2 of flour I needed!!! Ha, ha, ha!!! What was so cool was that I'd just cleaned up allot of the pantry today and I KNOW I didn't see that wrinkled up bag sitting right there. I started to grin like a cheshire cat (kinda like my dad!) and went out to finish mixing them up while hollering up to the kids that God had given me flour. Their eyes and faces were amazing to see!!
Now this hasn't been the only time something like this has happened. Numerous times we've been strapped financially and needed milk and we'd go back to see an inch or two more in the jug than what had been there the night before. One other very vivid time I remember was when we had only a few of our kids and we needed diapers. I knew I'd used the last one but when I went to the where I kept the diapers I found three more. God has always taken care of us and I didn't want to let this time go by the wayside.
Thank-you, Lord, for seeing fit to continue to bless me and my family. Such a great thing for my kids to witness.
