Yes, I'm alive!!

I'm not even going to mention how long it's been since I've blogged. I'm such a looser!! I just can't seem to get my weary self over here to the school more frequently. Oh well. Tons of things have occured since my last post so I'll just start explaining pictures...

This is a picture of the food we got from harvest home at our church. MY WORD!!! There was so much food it took me almost 4 hours to put it away. The first 1/2 hour I just walked around the table laughing and trying to figure out where I was gonna stuff it all!! We REALLY appreciate their kindness in this gesture. I told one lady that I didn't know if the church people just loved us so much or if they were trying to kill us off through gluttony!! :-)
Here is one side of the pantry when finished. What you can't see is how deep these shelves actually are. They are the depth of the width of a door. Pretty sweet!! The other side of the pantry only has one shelf with food on it and it was totally laden with home canned goods. WOW!! We thank Center Union GMC SO much for this.
While attending revival services at a sister church last week a lady came up to me asking me how we liked our new church and new place. I told her we loved the church but that we were still living on campus until housing was decided upon. She mentioned us getting our own place and I had to laugh and tell her we'd only be able to afford something big enough to stick a few of our big toes in at a time!! Thought I'd show you a picture of such a place!!
Actually the picture is of Jetta's History project for school. She had to make an Indian dwelling. I thought she did a pretty good job of making a Hogan. The picture below is her making the mud for the roof. I can't wait to hear what her teacher says about it.
Here's the latest of cakes I've done. The family wanted Curious George. As I didn't have anything to go on I had to get one of the kids' fruit snack packs that had his face on and attempt drawing it. I kinda think he might look like a distant cousin of George's instead of George himself!!! Oh well. As long as they were happy...I'm happy!!
Something funny that happened:
October the first we left after church and headed to my parents house where we were going to drop off the kids. The school's teacher's convention was the 2nd and 3rd so mom had offered to keep the kids so I could go with Troll to Lancaster for KCEA. We were almost to my mom's when we passed a dead skunk. It was a horrid smelling one at that. From behind us came, "What's that smell? (sniff, sniff) It smells like breakfast!" Ethan evidently has had breakfast that wasn't too pleasant!! Hopefully it was at someone else's house!!
We had some people from school watch our dog, Hannity, while we were away Wed-Sat. Troll was informed at school the following week that Hannity was quite a character. He attacked their bird and yanked out all of his tail feathers and then when the Mrs. of the house went to move him from beside her sleeping husband's head one night she scared him so badly that he pee'd all over the place (Hannity did...not the husband!! LOL)!!! Her husband never knew it!!! I'm sure we're on the black list for dog sitting ever again!!! Poor bird!

So there you have it.... the latest in a very small shell from the Tolley Tribe. Until next time.... DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!

Her teacher thinks it looks great! It looks like she spent a lot of time and effort! Good job, Jetta!

I'm glad you made it back over to the school to post. Been missing you, but know how busy life can get. That looks like a ton of groceries! Even with families the size of ours, it would take awhile to go through. That's great! Jetta's project looks so nice! How creative! And the cake was pretty, too.

I remember when you told me you had to stand at the empty pantry and try to figure out where your next meal would come from. Isn't God good to provide all that we need?? It just makes you love him more. So glad that church loves and appreciates you.
