Well I'm back from my trip. As you know I went away for a few days to Virginia Beach. It was fun but I found myself wishing at almost every turn that my husband and kids were with me!! I ended up feeling guilty that I'd done this without them! Nice, huh? We had a nice day Monday and Tuesday. Then on Wednesday it rained pretty much all day. Was raining again on Thursday and did so until we got dropped off at the airport. And then, like normal, the sun came out just as bright as you please!! :-) Oh well. Such is life. So Thursday, after one short flight to S.C. airport, a wait at that airport and a very long wait on the tarmac due to 30 backed up airplanes...I finally arrived in Harrisburg to my waiting family. Boy, was it nice to see them. Jetta had made me this huge poster that said, "Welcome" and had all their names and stuff drawn on it. We came into town not far from us to be welcomed by the flashing lights of a white car!! As it was after 2 in the morning...I assumed the gentleman in uniform wasn't to thrilled to see a vehicle in an otherwise deserted street of a small town. He told Troll that he stopped him just because he didn't use a turn signal to let people know he was turning onto a one way alley where you HAD to go due to the bridge being out!!! Alas, we got a warning and managed to get home and fall into bed somewhere around 3 in the morning.
Now to the reason for the title on this post. What do I mean by "backfired"? Well it's like this. I'm a person that loves pranks. Always have...always will. Only this time it backfired on me. You know Troll was gone to camp the week before my trip. So...I got this bright idea that on the Friday night before he came home (Saturday) that I was going to get this $4 temporary red hair dye and dye my hair to freak him out!! I did thus and such. However, he never noticed it. Now tell me how you do make a change that drastic to yourself and your husband not notice? Jetta had to tell him!!! THAT was funny. BUT the backfired part came this week. I guess as this was a cheap temporary dye....it didn't like sun. I figured it would be out in the 6 washes like it said. However, it got totally fried in the sun. I'm now a fluorescent red head!! No, the 6 washes didn't work. No, not even 16 washes have worked!! I am refusing to take a picture as it scares even me. I'm not sure WHAT I'm going to do as I can't redye it or it will make my hair worse. I guess that's what I get for trying to prank my husband in this sort of fashion. :-) I have been praying that no one that knows me comes to my house until I figure out what to do. I've become a prisoner of my own prank. Dumb red!!

A post like this without a photo?! No way! Cough it up, Gwen. :)
Or should we just come a-knockin'?
WE WANT A PICTURE!! That is a terrible thing to happen. I hope you can fix it soon. Glad you had a good time.
sorry to all who've demanded a picture. I didn't take one after the collision with the sun!!
a young man singing in a certain singing group "accidentally" colored his hair a few years back...they just made up a creative story and kept ministering for the Lord...cant' you say "I thought it was shampoo" and send out some pictures...
Awwww c'mon. We really want to see a picure. Are you really staying inside until you figure out what to do? If you dare go out in the public, then surely you can put it on a blog. :-)
