Well nothing quite as exciting as last post. I did forget one story though. I knew there was something I was missing in the last post but for the life of me couldn't remember. Thought of it the other day and wondered how I could have forgotten.
I was doing laundry (now remember...all this stuff happened in the same week) and put a "fresh" load into the washer. Went back upstairs to do whatever it is that I do all day long. About an hour later I figured it was high time to get back down there and switch that load to the dryer and the dryer load to the laundry basket (to fold whenever I felt led to). I'd no sooner got to the bottom of the steps when I realized something was terribly amiss. Water was everywhere. (Must be something with us and liquids!) Here our drain hose, which is up at ceiling level, had come out and done the Macarena while I was completely unaware. Water was everywhere. (I said that didn't I?)I did start laughing as I realized it had to have been the funniest thing to see that hose doing it's dance and spraying water everywhere. (How redundant) Took a few days to dry it all out. Cause water was everywhere!!!!
To make you feel like you haven't just wasted 5 minutes reading this I added the picture of Ambria and Troll. Caught her at the right angle to my pig calender to give her two more ears!! Probably the only liquid involved here was what was being added to Troll's hair or quite possibly pooling around his neck!!!

Too cute--Ambria's extra ears!
Oh my, I have been there, done that with the liquids! No fun cleaning up all the soggies.
During our four years at FCA we had 8 or 9 floods (I lost count) in our apartment for various reasons. (Once was kids hosing water into the window wells "until they would fill up, but we didn't know why they never filled up." Duh, because the water was filling up the APARTMENT!
Two other times involved the kids' swimming pool. They were filling up the swimming pool and "forgot" to turn off the hose when they were done and they got grass in the water, so dumped the pool [right next to our window well, no less] to refill it.
Another time was the rusty bottom of the 80-gallon water heater giving way. So we had an initial tidal wave of 80 gallons and then a continuous flow for several hours while it tried to refill the bottomless tank!)
Heh, we moved and STILL had water problems! A teeeeeeny pinprick of a hole in the icemaker line thoroughly soaked and ruined part of our kitchen floor before we had realized it was even leaking... then the A/C froze up and when it melted, ran over the holding tray and soaked things again.
Here's hoping the liquid stuff is over for both of us! :)
