Family

I was so happy to be able to be together with our family this week. We drove to Ohio and met Troll's brother and family on Wed, stayed overnight with them and then met with all my family on Thurs for the day and drove home. We had not all been together since Di was pregnant with Tay which was 7 years ago!! It was a wonderful time and I was so thankful it worked for ALL our schedules!! Which (let me tell ya) is a task in and of itself with all of us! Everything just fell so neatly in place and I'm so grateful!! It was awesome!!!

Rain

Today the sun was shining, beautiful breeze blowing...the perfect day. The kids asked if they could go to the park. I told them all the necessary things like 'stay together', 'no fighting'...blah, blah, blah. They all got their shoes and stuff and left. Probably 20 min later I hear something behind me as I was sitting at the table. I look out the window and it is raining so hard that you could barely see. 'O dear', I said as I jumped up, grabbed the keys and ran out the door. Just the couple leaps to the truck had me dripping wet and I was wondering how the kids were fairing.

I drove down the street not sure of which park the kids were at. I look to my left and there are a few of them dashing madly towards the street and drenched completely. Jetta had a squalling Bia wrapped in her arms as best she could up against her while they ran with Reag. As I looked closer thru the wipers I see Aust huddled under a tree and Eth just randomly walking away from the park as if he was aggravated I'd shown up!!!

Needless to say, by the time we made it back into the house the kid (except my tree huddler) had to totally change and mommy was towling off and changing as well. We had no longer changed and gotten into warm jammies then the sun came out and turned gorgeous again :) It was so funny!!
