Harvest Home
Our church family so kindly did a Harvest Home for us today. The kids were so cool to watch walk in this morning. They walked in as usual to turn on lights and then I heard their exclamations of "LOOK!! There's poptarts!" or "Awesome....there's all kinds of candy!"So thanks so very much to each and everyone for sharing in what God has given you to help us out. We really do appreciate it and will have some very loud moments of putting everything away this eve as the kids pull this and that from all the bags :) I pray God richly blesses all of you. We love being your pastoral family and are so very thankful that God led us to this church.

Ages
Wow! Its been ages since I wrote on here. Allot of water under the bridge. :) Went to the post op appointment yesterday and was given a clean bill of health! So that's a gr8 plus. My incisions are ridged up due to the stitches under the skin but doc said that those would go flat w/in 8 wks. And I was also impressed (kinda!!) to see that I'd gained 4 lbs back since I'd been there pre/surgery. Guess I'm back to normal! Hee, hee.
Of course the kids have made their funny comments since I've been on here last as well. A few that stick out in my mind...
1.
Driving down the road to school Ethan said, "Mommy, when I get old, old, old, old....like 69...I'm going to get married."
I said, O? Who are you going to marry?
Ethan said, "My wife, Kayla!"
Over the weekend we prepared for a special service at our church where 14 of my side of the family came to sing and preach. After the service we had them over to eat supper and share in the bday cake I'd made for my dad and Reag. Beeps, who had fallen asleep earlier on in the service, was placed on the couch in the study and slept clear thru til 7ish Monday a.m. when she came running into the study.
She asked in a shocked sorta way, "Mommy!!! Who ate the cake?"
I said, Well Gramps, Grammie, Pap, Grama and all the other ppl came here after church and ate.
She looked at me and said, "Oh!"
About 3 hours later she came back into the study having just realized the tables that were still set up from the night before of company.
She said, "Mommy, who's coming over cause of all those tables?"
I said, Honey, remember...Gramps and Grammie, Uncle Scott and all the other family came over after church and we ate.
She said, "Mommy, who's coming over cause of all those tables?"
I said, Honey, remember...Gramps and Grammie, Uncle Scott and all the other family came over after church and we ate.
She shook her head, totally disappointed, and said, "I shoulda woked up!"
I felt so bad for her! She was thoroughly disappointed with the fact that she slept thru the whole thing when she was lookin forward to having everybody over. :)

Yesterday everyone got home from school. I was in the study talking with Troll when Reag walks in. I caught a glimpse of his glasses and thought they looked funny so I took them off his face and realized that they indeed looked funny. There were big gouges in the lenses.
I said, Reag...what happened to your glasses.
He looked at me kinda apprehensively and said, "Maybe my gum got stuck on them?"
I said, Reag, gum is not going to create gouges in your glasses. What happened? Did you fall?
He said, "Maybe I left them on the ground and someone messed them up?
I was getting a bit aggravated at this point in the obvious fact that something had happened and he knew exactly what HAD happened.
I said, Reag!! What happened to your glasses and you had better tell me NOW!
He looked at his dad then at me and said, "I blew a bubble with my gum and it popped all over my glasses. So I used my teeth to get the gum off."
Lol!!! Yes, I laughed. But I waited until after I reprimanded him and he had walked out of the study! lol! Only Reag woulda thought of something like that!! LOL!!!
