Latest Cakes

Here are the latest cakes I've done. This one was for Jim and Marie Plank for 15 years of being at Beavertown. I really enjoyed doing this one. It turned out so delicate looking.

This was for my cousin's baby shower. I was slightly nervous with the making of pooh as I've never made a figurine before but I was impressed with how good he turned out even down to the fringe on the edge of the blanket. (which by the way, happened by accident!!)
The thought came to me to pop up his backside like a baby does when they're sleeping!! Isn't he cute?

More Kids Komments

We've had a terrible issue with fleas on our dogs this year. Can't get rid of them for anything!! It has created havoc and makes us feel as if we are constantly crawling with the pesky critters. This morning I glanced down at Bia's head and freaked out. I said, Bia...is that a flea on your head? I quick reached down and started to get "it" off her head when I realized it was something hard. So as I started to pick it off she reached up and said, "Mom!! It's my brain!!" :)

It was only a scab the size of a pin head but to her it was her brain falling out!!! Lol!! Ha, ha!!

Kids Komments

So last night we were having devotions. It was quiz time and the question was "Who was married to Priscilla?". I leaned down and told Bia and she hollered out... "A gorilla!!"

LOL!!! hahahahaha!!! Close enough to Aquilla for me!

Melting

You ever have one of your kids say something that just about makes you melt? I had such an expierience last nite.

We'd just got done having devotions and everyone was doing the rounds. Ethan had already performed our nightly ritual of "hugs, kisses, cheeks and nose" (like head, shoulders, knees and toes) and went on to his dad to tell him goodnight. About 30 seconds later he came back. I was wondering if he was just too tired and hadn't realized he'd already kissed me. He stood in front of me, threw his arms around my neck and said, "Mommy, I love you now and I love you while I'm at school and I miss you while I'm at school." Then he kissed me again. Talk about feeling like a massive puddle of goo!! Sniff......sigh. I'm so having a hard time with this everyone growing up so big SO quick. Ethan has always told me that he doesn't want to grow up that he always wants to be my little Ethan. How frightening to think that in a few years he'll be thinking that mommy is just a bit insane. However, I'm going to enjoy this and continue to be that goo puddle until he decides he's had enough!!!
