Sunday excitement.

Well as you can see for yourself...we had a bit of excitement in the Tolley house today. I had Austin take Hannity out for a bathroom trip and the next thing I know a flash of white when flying past the window. In burst Austin all out of breath saying, "There's a snake!" So out went Dad, Austin and a shaking Hannity to find the snake. Troll found it in our wood pile and grabbed hold of it's tail to pull it out. It got away from him and went up into the flower beds where he finally managed to yank it out. All the kids wanted to touch it and I even had it wrapped around my arm! Ethan wasn't too sure he was impressed and stayed at a distance. After we had our fill of snake handling Daddy and all the kids hiked down to the woods to let it go. As you can see it was longer than Austin is tall!! Exciting.

The bottom picture is our idea of a Bible quiz! I had the kids line up like that on the floor since we don't have the fancy seats with buzzers on them! The first one up in the air was the one who got to answer the question. I don't think Bia had the slightest clue what was happening. And if you look really closely...you can see Hannity's head back by the chair behind the kids! No, we don't get bored around here.

Another bday!

Sending birthday wishes to my "little" brother, Doink. Happy 33rd!! I only say little due to the fact that he's the younger of my brothers. I do believe he passed Titus and I height wise a LONG time ago. I hope you have a great day. I'm just thankful you hit 30 before I did!! I stole this picture from your blog as I didn't have any of you on my camera. We may live "years" away from each other and only see each other once a year...maybe two... however, I love you, Dodo, and wish you many more years.

At supper...

Reagan: I wonder when I'll ever find my pants that snap down the leg.
Mommy: Your blue ones?
Reagan: Yes.
Mommy: I put them away because they didn't fit you anymore.
Reagan: For Ethan?
Mommy: Not sure. Actually I think I might have gotten rid of them as they were yucky
Reagan (with hands folded as in prayer): Please, Lord, not my pants!!

Happy Bday, Niblet!

Wanted to send out a birthday wish to our niece. She turns one today. WOW!! I thought it was just yesterday that I was at the hospital to see her. She's such a beautiful girl and we're so proud to have her for our niece. Happy #1 to our little Niblet.

Another dear friend leaves.

Well...this must be the month for pets leaving the Tolley family. Yesterday one of my dad in law's Great Danes passed on. Major was a giant of a Dane but such a gentle boy. I loved him as much as I loved Quazar. The only thing about Major I didn't really care for was his eyes. He had two different colors! Kinda weirded me out. This guy was a hoss. He weighed 210 and had a choker chain that was the size of my mom's waist! And let me tell you...that tail put bruises on ya. He had this thing for wallering on me when we'd go visit. He usually ended up sitting on me like he was a Dachshund!! That's ok...I didn't care. I'll miss him badly. So glad I got to see him one more time when we stopped in last week. Our sympathy goes out to my parents in law. These dogs can aggravate the life out of you but they sure have a way of slipping their big body's inside your heart. So long, Maj.

I've seen it all!!

Well, Ethan just came out of Jetta's room about 10 minutes ago with a sight that shocked us out of our minds. He was carrying "Scotch". A very dripping wet "Scotch". Troll, who was on the phone with a friend, hollered, "What in the world?!!" I got up out of my chair and went into the living room to see what the problem was. Ethan then informed us that he'd saved the kitty from death by toilet. Bia had either decided he stank and needed a bath or that she'd just had enough of kittens and thought she'd dunk him in the toilet. He was petrified!! WHAT NEXT?

Our family increases.

As you can see in the pictures above...we have increased our family! Jetta has been disappointed ever since we had to get rid of her cat when we moved to PVBI. Due to Quazar passing we decided that we'd allow her another chance with a kitten and thanks to a student of Troll's...we got the kitten above on May 30Th. His name is "Scotch" and does really well with the kids. Even though he's hounded constantly by the two youngest kids! He's pretty laid back and loves to sleep with Jetta. She's thrilled.

Then next pet is the Boston Terrier. Our kids have been struggling with the loss of Quazar. Pretty much every time we come home from being away all day they start crying. We decided we were going to get a small breed puppy so that we can have a house dog again. We talked to one of Troll's uncles about a dog as he and his son raise puppies. We figured we'd just get a B.T. as Troll's brother has one and we really liked him. However, they didn't have any of these puppies and offered one of their pug puppies. (I think that's what it is.) After all this had been decided we got a call a few days later saying that they'd found a deserted B.T. puppy and we could have him if that was fine. We brought him home on June 7th and have quickly fallen in love with him. His name is "Hannity". He's pretty cute. As soon as Ethan saw him he said, "He looks like Batman!" I would've loved to called him that but he was already used to "Hannity" so we've opted to stay with that. And for those of you who are wondering...
"Hannity" is named after Sean Hannity; one of our favorite talk show people!

He's 4!!

Another "what happened to the time"?!! Wow! Ethan turned four on Saturday. We were on our way back from Ohio so I didn't get to post then. This guy sure has tested our patience, meekness, humor, tears and about every other thing you could imagine. From Downy baths to toilet eatings to a fever induced seizure...he's taken us on one roller coaster ride. BUT...we love him OH so much! Happy birthday, E-man! Hope you enjoyed your past four years as much as we have. We're looking forward to the next umpteen years with you. It's been fun watching how you've grown and changed. Can't wait to see what God has in store for your life. Love ya, buddy!!

Happy Birthday, Baby!

Our baby turned 2 today. I'm not sure what has happened to time but it sure has flown by way too fast. I've tried my hardest to memorize every little thing, comment and action she has done. She's such a crazy little thing with a temper as big as her daddy! Speaking of daddy...she's a true daddy's girl. He's going to have his hands full with both girls having him wrapped right around them. I've so enjoyed watching her little personality grow and unfold into what she is today. Looking forward to the next years of her life and seeing how God is going to use her. We love you, Bia, hope you had a tremendous birthday.
